Buying Mounts

Ok as i'm sure you all know there s a new patch coming out (1.12.1) that has a mount change making the lvl 40 mounts cost 10g and riding cost 90g and the lvl 60 mounts cost 100g and riding cost 900g.

Here the catch, if your level 40 and you havent bought your mount then get the mount riding whilst patc 1.12 is still out for 10g, then wait for 1.12.1 and pay 10g for the mount! I have not tested this out yet but im sure it would work, saved you 80g so i'd recomend trying it if you've just dinged 40.

I don't think that will work as there will be 2 riding skills in the new patch, which are determined by your current mount. 75 skill for normal mount, 150 for epic. Just having a riding skill doesn't tell them what skill you deserve in the patch. Although, I have no idea what will happen if you just have a skill and no mount.... I'll go buy it with my alt and them complain to GMs that I lost my money on nothing ^^

If you're going to get rank 11, and get the epic mount as your only epic mount, but just can't make it by then, then buy it now, even if you can't use it, and you'll get the skill after patch, and have saved 900g...

Out of likely only two posts in this thread which made sense and were correct, the one about Rank 11 mounts was one of them, and it received criticizing and scrutinization by noobs who probably will never even ding 60.

L2P, get a 60, and learn that commander's mounts at Rank 11 are only 90g, and the price doesn't drop when you're Rank 14.

as far as I can tell it has to do with the mount you have, so whether you buy a mount now or later, the cost will be exactly the same as you'd still have to buy the riding skill later if you don't buy one now.
