How to get into Offline Mode - Patch 4.1

Proprieties of Offline Mode:
-Offline on Battle.Net
-No NPC's and no other players
-Cannot cast any spells, change map, queue for instances/bgs, logout, exit game (you have to Alt-F4)
-You take no fall damage, no fatigue
-Invisible in Guild Chat but can talk and can see what everyone else is writing
-If anyone does a /who on you, you appear unguilded
-If you are invited to a party, the other players will see that you are Phased
-Upon relogging, you will be alive at the graveyard

What is the purpose of this exploit? What. if anything, can it do for you?

I haven't had time to explore everything about this so I can't answer with certainty but one thing you can do is run around without taking fatigue while stalking your guildies, since they can't see you on. Heh, not much use but it is an exploit nonetheless.

As I recall you are pacified, so you can't cast anything but your mount. (while in water)

You can't fish while in Offline Mode. There are no spawns of any kind there. (herbs, ore, NPCs and zeppelins are all server-side controlled)

Offline mode = You can explore to your hearts content, but there will no NO npcs or objects at ALL (No herbs, no ore, no fish, no rare spawns, no free loot, no free gold, NOTHING)

I think you are offline, partially. Because the game server and chat channels use different servers. I'd say more useful than being fully offline.

Analyzing the situation, it seems that if your corpse is moved(by ship) to a different zone than where you have released yourself, the game gets confused cause part of your "soul" is left in different zone. Same trick might work with zeppelings etc.

It does work with zeppelin too but got something to do with loading screen. As ppl who got you on friendlist can still see you online just the ppl u are guilded with see u go offline and don't see you on guild list. Opposite way of doing it is force a quit on wow when it's on loading screen like when u hs to a place or get summoned. U will show up still online in guild list while u actually logged off. And can have more then 1 char from same account online in guild list to annoy your guildies.

Still trying the way the op showed if there is more to it.

Agreed, not an exploit. This is an intended game feature added in 3.7
