New simple way to disconnect yourself

    1. Make a bat-file with the following text (or just download it):
    Code:
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    2. Bind it to some hotkey (HotKey Manager, Hotkey Jumpstart, etc.)
    3. Press your hotkey.

Be careful, these commands restart your internet connection.

    Proof:

P.S. This method will never be fixed by Blizzard

Thanks for the addition, but it's not always convenient to restart the game. Sometimes every second counts

Press the button on the keyboard is much faster and easier than pull out and insert the cable, IMHO.

Does this mean you need a 3rd party program in order for this to work?

I like it... don't get me wrong... its just that I have several "3rd party" methods of disconnect... was hoping for something without another program present.

You can use standard Windows features (Create keyboard shortcuts to open programs) or just run the bat-file without using any other "3rd party programs".

But all the same method that I suggested (using HotKey Manager) faster, easier and more flexible to configure.

I assume that this is a client-side disconnect? Not as "effective" as server-side?

Or if you have a laptop that has a Wireless toggle On/Off button or switch just use that.

I don't see what you mean by this, after like 10-15 secs of being disconnected on your end the server will completely DC you.

It's not server side. If you're doing this for any bug related to DC, it won't work as you aren't getting DC'd server-side.

I'm closing this thread as this is not an exploit.

    Thanks for your contribution regardless.

Even when this is not an exploit it's good for fixing your connection!
