guild reputation

i have seen the other threads about guild reputation and i didnt see this information it them. neither do i know if this is intended or is a bug from blizzard after the last patch.

here it comes:

as you all know your guild reputation is capped each week so you max can get 3500 a week.
what i noticed is that when you hit 3500 then leave the guild and get invited back into the same guild. your reputation will still be the same but the experience and reputation counter is now reset so you can earn another 3500 in the same week.

if someone else has posted this then i havent searched good enough and this thread can ofc be deleted.

I was under the impression that your rep should reset back to 0 when you leave...unless its still hidden behind the scenes or something when you come back.

This sounds like you risk losing all your rep if it goes wrong.

Nah, it only gets reset should you join a new guild or sign someones charter.

I'm 100% positive I've seen this here before(because I promptly tested it right when I read it), but I can't find the post for the life of me, so you're off the hook.

EDIT: A side note about this bug, it can be done before you reach the guild rep cap as well, so you don't NEED to hit 3,500, but obviously there's little reason to do the exploit before hitting cap.

Gonna have to try this with an alt, as my main has already hit exalted. What's a quick way to hit the cap, besides dailies each day?

+rep because it's so simple yet so easily done that anyone can do it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, it seems like it would be working as intended, because when you leave a guild yet return to it within some short time limit, you technically get in as a new person, rank and all. Still, it's something that isn't common sense, because who knew that rep would reset without trying? Again, thanks for the awesome trick.

you do get rep if you are in dungeons and the partyhave minimum 3 members of your guild. same with raids if the raid have 75% members from the guild

I can't seem to get it to work, I tried on both my main and my alt, alt first of course. But when I join back in the guild my weekly cap still sits at the same % as it where before I left, am I doing something wrong?

Maybe you need to cap the guild rep and then leave?

I never had this work, and believe me, I left the guild and joined again quite a few times.
