Okay, I just tested the OP's exploit and it does NOT work on US servers as of 5:20pm server time 24/02/11.

I wasn't sure after reading everyone's replies if it still worked or not.

This has never worked... We have a member in our guild who is always dropping and joining the guild as a joke and his rep (amount to be earned towards exalted) has never been reset. He has been doing this since the start of the expansion. He just hit exalted, and he does dailies and several dungeons every day along with full raid clears each week (which gives nearly the 3500 rep cap now).

it did work for me once after patch 4.0.6 was realesed but as seen in another thread in this forum Blizzard fixed it pretty fast so that could be the same here
