7th Bank Tab Exploit

When I purchased the 7th tab for my guild and used the voucher it gave me the item stayed in my inventory (it was bugged before). Just now I decided to test out what I could do with it since that toon was just an alt and was not GM. I left the guild on that toon and got an invite to my banker alts guild and made myself GM and used the 7th bank tab voucher and it worked. I lost the item this time but it was a nice way to save myself 10k gold.

So if anyone still has one of these in the bank or in your inventory this is an easy way to increase your bank alts tabs for free.

So, the bank tab voucher is transferable to another guild? I'm not sure if the transferring is intended or not, but you certainly should only be able to use it once. Nice find, will test soon.

Hmm... So say you have tab 1,2,3 purchased... would you get the credit for 1,2,3,7 or 1,2,3,4... or by the grace of god do you get 1-7?

Why would you have it in the first place if you aren't on your gm char? since only gm's can use it. So you obviously didn't 'use it before' if that is your alt.

I had a IRL friend of mine buy it for our guild knowing he could get leadership from me... sometimes there are cases where this makes sense to do

At the time the toon I had bought the 7th tab on was the GM of the guild. That toon is not going to be used for raiding at all as our guild needs healers so my main is being switch to my shaman instead of my mage (hence the reason I changed my mage as the GM to my shaman). It had already been used and my guild already had the 7th tab. Apparently there was a bug at the time where you could buy the voucher and use it and then sell it back to the vendor. Blizz hotfixed it so you could not sell it back but when you used it you still kept the item until they actually patched it. So if you used it and you still have it you can get a free extra bank tab for a banker alt or even sell it to a guild (i.e. they invite you and make you GM and then you give them the tab and give back GM).
