BoT BoE farm

Last night in BoT we had 6 BoE drop. Not sure if they up'd the drop rate or we got lucky. But I know some people farm just the trash for BoE's for themselves or the AH to make gold.

Well if you clear the trash up to Halfus, Switch to heroic, zone out or wipe...all the trash will respawn from the begining when you zone back in.

So in short.. you can force the trash to respawn instantly by switching the raid difficulty(then zone out/pull halfus and wipe/whatever) instead of having to wait for a soft reset.

lol.... this is called "trash runs" and is no exploit whatsoever, every server have loads of pugs going there every day.
saw some other posts about priest soloing them with mc and stuff.

yes and u dont haveto change to hc, u can just reset the instance.
or, atleast that was what our leader did when i went some trash runs, and he didnt even have 1 boss killed in the instance.

Maybe working as intended cause when you switch to heroic your in a other Instance ID, therefor the respawn.
But I think this can be very useful for trash farmers.

It's limit 5 per hour but 1 clear takes 20ish min to do so you will never be on a cooldown.

You are limited to 5 instances (aka IDs) entered in an hour. Whether you reset the ID by switching to Hero and back or clicking Reset instances, the effect will be the same since basically you're entering a "new" instance.

OT: Clicking Normal->Hero->Normal takes longer than clicking Reset All Instances for me, but hey maybe there's an application for it.

Correct. But clearing trash in 5 x different raid ID's will take more than an hour.
