Solo Second Boss in Heroic Throne of Tides as ranged dps [Screens included]

Long Story short tank friend had to leave which resulted in the group falling apart this mage wanted the staff from Ulthok badly. I was playing around waiting for my friend to come back kiting the boss diff ways trying to figure out how he could be solo'd and he can be solo'd using the jellyfish elevator. We tried using 2 ppl hence the mage's dps showing on my recount but he got squeezed since I was top threat. Heres some screenies!

Tried to solo my way there as mage with invisibility. You cant get past the tunnel where the murlocs keep coming, the gate doesnt open even if you aoe down the little murlocs chained up by the boss, it only opens if all the elite ads are dead.

So this is only useful if your group has wiped on that boss. Tried to solo trash on the elevator and it didnt work although its not too hard to solo the big guy that puts green stuff on the floor if you kite him.

So we're clear. The second boss only comes out AFTER you kill the first boss.. there should be no little murlocs until you go back down after killing first and second boss.

For you to get to this boss solo you'd have to solo the first boss as well.

usually when mobs cant reach you, they go into evade state. you should have taken a ss right after the kill , with the loot table , to really prove it. And yes you have to kill the first boss (after the gauntlet) to get to this, so unless your in a group that disolves right after first boss, this isnt gonna get you anything

I can confirm that this works since I finally got unbanned, but only to an extent.
My group did this by accident on some trash before the first boss, and they were playing around, trying to get me killed. As a warrior, I jumped down said elevator shaft, and used heroic leap before dying. I was stuck in combat for a good 10 minutes before it finally went away. Upon heading back up via elevator, I saw the group of enemies all stacked onto one another, right on the edge. They were at the same HP they were when the dps hit them, but they did not reset. Ever. I played around with them, and found that only the casters would aggro from a distance, the rest up close. They stayed in place, never moving until one died, then they reset when I jumped down again. Doing the trick once more ended up less...safe, as the group followed me onto the elevator!

After killing the first boss, big green and nasty shows up. I tell the mage in our group to ice lance him to us as we run past him to the jellyfish. Our group dies on the jump, save for the mage who slowfalls down. Without warning, he gets grabbed by that Grasp ability mid-fall, and nearly dies from the next melee swing! This did not work as expected, and the mage died before doing any real damage. The boss then resets by running back, as the mage said. We res and return, and he did indeed reset. We tried two more times, no luck getting the elevator trick to work. Doesn't seem to work as you say, but for mages. That, or we did it wrong.

Also, your final "proof" screencap has a mage doing some damage. You didn't solo it if he did damage too ;D
