Double buff?

Hello, long time leecher first time poster here, have not been able to find anything worth posting 'till now. So the story goes like this: I was baby sitting my mage that I was botting in AV, and happened to check it out when my mage died. After spirit guide resurrected me and few other players, I was shocked to see 2 Arcane Brilliance buffs in my buff bar. One of them was buffed by my bot, and other one came from another mage.

I'm pretty sure it won't happen to me again, and it was unfortunate that I did not manage to get more than 1 screenshot with me having those 2 buffs, but I can assure you that I'm not making this up. And the effects of those buffs were not only visual, I tried first removing the first buff and then second one, both times my stats went down.

So this might be something to look more into. I tried to redo this trick, but was unable to do so.

Here is pic of my 2 buffs, I was fool not to take pictures of my stats after removing them, so you have to take my word for it.

In wrath I noticed sometimes our priests would have 2 shields on 1 target when they cast them at the same time.

Perhaps this has to do with battlegrounds and cross server folk?

That might be the case, and yes they do stack as I said in my post, I got spellpower and intellect from both buffs.

No, both were called Arcane Brilliance.

I mean did the effects stack, were you able to gain x intelligence twice?

the effects do stack, tried this on my paladin but i couldnt find out how it was working so i cba to post it.. (also works with kings and might)

Yes they do stack, atleast as far as I can tell.

Get the 2 buffs of the same, note your stacks, click one off, check stats, click the other off, check stats. Report back after you've done that.

Then lets deduce how to achieve the double buff. Could it involve a glyph or talent by chance? or just a straight up they were cast at the same time.

Nice try, poster. To all: if you actually zoom in the picture - you can see that the "60 m" timer on both buffs are on different spots for each. This picture is faked. Open MSPAINT, make a straight line from the left border of each icon going downwards. The left buff's "60 m" is offset by about 3-4 pixels where as the right buff is offset by none.

I think he is trying to leech some +rep

Even if the pic is fake i can confirm this works and is real. I can post a legit screenshot if you want and i was able to reproduce it today. (well i found it out myself and then i noticed this post when i wanted to post it)

1.) Buff yourself Arcane Intelect
2.) Find a Mage thats not in your grp (no idea if thats required, but i guess it is) and NOT your lvl (like you are 85 he is 84, thats how i did it)
3.) He buffs you.
4.) Profit
2k mana and 6% spellpower DO STACK!

Well thats how it worked for me.
