This is an exploit for bear tanks to gain an extra 16% or so from healing potions and healthstones. This multiplies with alchemy and engineering bonuses.
I've been sitting on this one since I discovered it in TBC, but it was never that useful till now, since armor potions were so much better anyway. With limited healing mana, buffed health potions and nerfed armor pots, this is much more useful.
Here's the macro I wrote:
Code:
/cancelform
/use Endless Healing Potion
/use Healthstone
/cast !Bear Form
That's it. Your healing potions will now benefit you more, even though this will not be reflected in the combat log.
Why this works
You have more health in bear than in other forms. When changing between forms, your new health is proportionate to your current health--when at full health, I "gain" extra hitpoints just by shifting to bear. The macro cancels form, uses health potions and healthstone (all off the GCD) and then shifts back into bear. You spend no time in caster form at all.
A warning
The tradeoff is one global cooldown. Actually, if you're on GCD and use the macro you get stuck in caster form. That's bad. I actually use a slightly different macro that just uses the health potion if I don't hit any modifiers, and shifts me only if I hit a couple modifiers with it.
