Was just using the Rocket on most of my Chars...now just lets hope they dont get it removed from my Characters...

I didn't bought flying mounts on some of my Characters because of that bug...

I bought up a bunch of boxed copies on Black Friday when people were running $5 WoW + $5 giftcard rebate deals. (Amazon and Gamestop both did this.)

The basic idea is this:

Take your (essentially free) copy of WoW. Refer yourself on a second account, apply the code from the boxed copy of WoW, and buy $15 worth of gametime on that account in the Blizzard store. Your main account gets 30 days of free playtime and a mount for that $15 and you have a side account with 60 days of playtime to tinker around with, all for roughly what you'd ordinarily pay for a regular month with.

That translates into one "almost free" referral mount a month for me and it's legit.

Got my rocket aswell on main so far cuz atm I'm raiding. Sent it from account page to my alts aswell but haven't checked their mail yet. Will confirm later tonight. However, if Blizzard fixes this, do you think we'll be somehow punished for exploiting this? Like temp ban or mount + achievement removed from all chars ? Prolly is working as intendend, I hope.

Edit: Confirmed IT STILL WORKS on EU. I've sent it on some of my important alts and they've all got it Hope Blizz won't remove it or anything.

Ignore the trolls... I just tried this on EU servers and got my rocket on a character.

Heres exactly what I did in order:

* Logged into WoW and logged the alt I was sending the rocket to
* Logged onto the battle.net EU site
* Selected the WoW account and chose to redeam the rocket on a character, confirmed the process

Here you will see the page bug with a slew of graphical errors (firefox 3.6) and the site claims that your mount has been unsuccessfully sent, upon tabbing back into game; I instantly had the mount in my mailbox without even logging off and back on.

First off nobody said use the "old site"

Second off maybe it only works on EU because I am US.

It didn't work for me and I followed the exact instructions.

yep doesn't work for US. You cannot login in to the EU site with a US account.

This only work for EU?
I just tried it on US and in fact it DID NOT WORK. I sent it to a character that was logged in, it just was completed successfully.

Jesus, seriously? Who did this will get permanently banned? Well, obviously if they do that, I will quit WoW for good. It's just a freaking rocket mount that you should recieve on all account's chars, like Celestial Steed. They f**ked up with their site / mechanisms as they ALWAYS DO, tho they get hundreds of millions of $ monthly, they still can't manage to do something perfectly, and now that we enjoyed a damn rocket we get perma banned. Is that right?

Edit: should we just wait and see or should we make a GM ticket and tell him to remove the mount & FoS from other chars except alt ? Is there any way to get out of this "untouched" ?

If you do take a ban feign stupidity, phone them and tell them you thought the rocket was a boa type and you could send it to all your characters otherwise you would of not recruited your friend to play this game.

Eitherway this has been active for awhile and if some do gooder has posted it on general forums hoping for blizz brownie points i reckon we'd have took a ban by now.
