Fish Mountain Trout In Azshara

EDIT: It looks like the spawning of the pools may have been nerfed... They're far less frequent than they were last night and only appear to spawn on the lower few tiers. Possibly I was just unlucky; I'll post back after hanging out there for a half hour or so. [So it would appear... I only encountered five pools over the space of 45 minutes.]

From what I've seen so far, this will only net you Mountain Trout, but anyway:
Schools of mountain trout actually spawn in Azshara, on the pools of the massive waterfall on the northern cliff face bordering Hyjal. It should be noted that you need some method of flying (fly hack, spirit gryphon, rocket helmet, etc.) to get up there.

Coords are in the bar in the top left corner of the screenshot if you need them.


As you can see, you can get several schools in a pool. The most I encountered was five at once on the pool fourth from the ground.

I saw no mention of this through search, but it's certainly possible that I missed it. If it's been found, let me know. xP

You might want to read and look at everything before condemning, eh? This isn't the same waterfall and doesn't require landing the lure inside of Hyjal.

It's not though. These are schools of Cataclysm specific fish spawning INSIDE of Azshara. At least, I feel it's different enough to debate. Truth be told this would be better classified as a bug than an exploit. Leave it to the mods to decide I suppose.

Hey guys, i do believe that the fish spawns are now deactive or have a REALLY long spawns timer, because im at one of these spawns and havnt seen any fish.. just started to screw around nd fish for fun, but no schools of mountain trout, atleast not yet, or not till Cata?
Please do correct me if im wrong but atm i think the spawns r deactive until cata

No actually a priest's leviate can get you to that one, haven't tested this thread's location.

Ive just tried to go there from WS with levitate, but when im close to this place im portet everytime. Will try it from the other side now ^^.

Yeah there's no way to get here directly from Winterspring, you'd have to walk through Hyjal to do that.
