    Engineering and leveling!

Couldn't find any other posts on this subject. I'm leveling my DK now and decided i needed some professions on him. I powerleveled engineering to wotlk-level, and came across a few items without level requirement. In other words, those items can be made and used at whatever level you want aslong as your engineering is at the required level.

    Examples on this are:
Unique head which can give a HUGE buff in whatever stat you prefer:
    mechanized snow - Wowhead Search

One of the trinkets does loads of extra dmg AND is a high enough Ilvl to be reforged
Gnomish Lightning Generator - Item - World of Warcraft

You of course have other items such as the stamina trinkets and such, and as far as i can tell loads of these items don't have any required level to be equipped aslong as you got enough engineering skills.

It's really nice to have these items to pew pew in BGs or to get proper Ilvl to get into the cataclysm random dungeon (where if you have leveling gear you don't got enough gearlevel to get in).

    Enjoy raping people in BGS

You do need a level to use these, unless you're level 65 or above you can't train engineering to a WoTLK level. Do you really think blizzard would make it this easy to get some op gear at low levels?

    Even at 65..

Even at 65 the items you get are SICK compared to others at the respective level. Check out the head i'm using for instance, it has 126str at lvl 65, that is way more then anything else

Don't really know exactly what level you need to be to get the generator, but i know it's 65 or lower.

Even so, it's not a exploit. It's just a clever use of game mechanics.

Haven't seen any >69 items who is reforgable, i would say that is some sort of exploit, but if that also goes under clever game mechanics i can just delete this post

Definitely not an exploit, they left level reqs off of most engineering itmes on purpose since vanilla.

Seems more like common knowledge to anyone who has ever leveled engineering before.
