[Warlock 4.0.1] Soul Shards and Decimation procs from critters

I was testing out this expoit with my lock when I noticed that if I use drain soul on a critter (sewer rats and frogs) I get three soul shards. Since critters don't award experience or honor I don't think this is intended. So if you are all out of shards in a boss fight and there is some critter nearby, one souldrain tick = 3 shards.

Also as demo the Decimation talent now triggers if your spell kills the target no matter what % health it was at when the spell hit which makes it proc when you kill critters.

confirmed, I get decimation procs of critters all the time before boss first or on trash ect

The tooltip for drain soul no longer specifies that you have to target something that gives experience or honor.

I'd say this is intended.

Are you using the new noob tooltip setting? I know it was on for me by default when 4.0.1 hit. Almost died laughing when i read the tooltip for mangle: "Hits enemy really hard making him mad at you so he wont attack your friends."

Also if you soul fire a critter you get 15% spell haste with destro.. and if you haunt a critter as affliction you get a good portion of hp back.... Common sense is not so common any more.

I don't think i have whatever setting you're talking about enabled.

Interface --> Help --> Beginner tooltips. Uncheck it.
