Stand in the air while logging out(like in the old days)

Hi,

While farming some mining in Icecrown(JK, I was botting), I wanted to check my bank. I was on a flying mount(red proto drake - dunno if that makes any difference), then clicked Logout. A mob aproached me. I was on a rogue, so I thought "Damn, now I'm gonna die", since I was at that height where you die, also as rogue. But I didn't: I was standing in the air and logging out, with no mount! (:

So the mob dismounted you while you were logging out ?

Edit: Also, what happened when you logged back in ? Did you fall and die ?

Yeah, I was logging out while flying, and then the mob attacked me, dazed me(dismounted) but I continued logging out without falling.
When I logged in again, I fell and died =/

Btw, it's not my account, I'm botting for a freind, so I don't really care about the name (-:

All in all I'd classify this as useless.. it's not the same as the old logging out in midair. You could always log out while on a flying mount, and you aren't logging out while jumping which was the old one. This is rather working as intended, being that for you to log out it needs stationary coordinates for you. So it doesn't let you fall while it is happening. Which is why you fell and died when logging in. :\
