Disconnect yourself with keyboard (G15)

iv disconnected my self with the G15 keyboard aswell but not doing that i binded the keyboard to press 0 every 0.01 seconds about 300 times than i put a lil mini pet on the bar like a cockraoch and hit the button D/C's You and every one around u in about 20ft radius

Be really careful with that one. Disconnecting yourself is prolly not going to set off too many alarms at Blizz, but I have heard of SEVERAL people getting whacked in the head with the PERMABAN stick for lagging the server, or D/C other people with macro spam.

Detailed posts are always a good thing, and I liked how well your post read. Very simple to understand exactly what you were saying.

I phoned a friend and checked on the end result of your find. Any macro (or any other effect, including unplugging your machine from the network) that disconnects you does leave your toon in game for normally around 20-40 seconds before the server resolves it, and removes the toon. An unexpected disconnect takes the server a few seconds to determine if you are lagging REALLY badly, or if you really have lost connection. In rare cases (especially when a server is at full capacity and at peak times... say Whisperwind around 8pm Friday night) the toon will remain in "limbo" and still on the server for up to 2 full minutes. the login server may even delay your relogging a few seconds waiting on this to resolve, because it "sees" you still in game! In other words... your character can often leave game faster if you /camp...

The EASIEST way to disconnect is to go into AtlasLoot (should be a must-have addon tbh) and go to Sets/Collections > Legendarys. Just right-click on Andonisus, that sword with +600 attack power. Since noone does the quest anymore, the server havn't seen it, VOILA, disconnect. This one is even easier to time.

if id ever want to DC myself... id just try to link the warglaive of azzinoth in chat... a lot easier than the macro or alt+F4

ok, easy way to dc yourself

1. ESC
2. Video Options.
3. Windowed Mode
4. Ctrl+alt+del
5. Processes
6. Find Wow.exe
7. Click it
8. Hit End Process
9. Click Yes.
10. Close processes window.

alt+f4 only closes WoW, it won't DC you.

Even if your disconnected, your character is still in game (called ghost). So when you force disconnect when fighting a mob or something, that mob will kill you since you are still in the game in the server. Well you could also load server side locked items and it will disconnect you. You do this by linking or requesting a locked or invalid item using whatever item linking mod you have.
