You can drop off Infest from you by canceling hp buffs after you got it.
It's easy with some /cancelaura macro. After that fast rebuff.

It's make encounter easier so you don't need so many healers.
It is very possible that Paragon killed him on 25hm because they used it and took 1 dps more (just 5 healers) to don't hit enrage.

It's very usefull both 10 and 25 HM.

Canceling fortitude or any buffs that give HP isn't an exploit. Healers have less to heal because infest vanishs from all players that hit the macro. The mana to reapply those buffs would be more usefull if spend for healing /dpsing than buffing.

This is the same method to reduce incoming damage on anub-h. Less to heal, more time to dps. Clever usage of game mechanics I say.

and btw, i wouldn't cancel fort. just cancel commanding shout and let war reapply it. saves mana^^

Hey OP, I know you saw a thread on the US D&R and automatically assumed some mouth-breathing jealous nerd was correct. Unfortunately, it's inaccurate speculation. Lich King does not cast infest in phase 3, the fortitude buff has 59 minutes left on the duration, there's absolutely no conceivable reason they would have cancelaura'd health buffs off 4+ minutes into phase 3. While the information is correct (canceling HP buffs will remove infest in conjunction with priest shields in heroic) in the OP's post, cancelaura'ing health buffs is not an exploit, and never has been. Guilds have been doing this since Patch and Anub'arak ph 3 25.

That's a dps loss though, and LK heroic is already insanely intense on dps.
