You dont need to do it the exact place he showed in the picture, yours was just done at well..

I even posted another way of doing this, theres plenty of ways to fly everywhere in dalaran.

Valid landing/mounting spot (well, krasus landing, well, etc) -> invalid (streets etc) -> sky -> back to invalid, like the street. <-- Simple as that, just takes a hell lot of tries to master.

This was very frustrating to do but once you get the hang of it, it shouldnt be so hard.
