Laging? Rogue? No fall damage!

I was searching around on the forums for this, although i didn't see anything, i didn't look at them all. So feel free to flame me to hell and back if its been posted.

I have satellite internet, so that means my latency is constantly 800+ (its usually at 1.1k). It also means i have a 2 - 3second lag. So i was fooling around and i fell off of a huge cliff, on the way down i accidentally hit my vanish button a little above the ground. I hit the ground, then ended up vanishing less then a second later (because of my lag), after my vanish my combat log said that i took 7.2k damage from falling, BUT i didn't end up taking any damage at all.
I don't know if this can work for anyone else or not, but i do it all the time, i guess you would have to have a latency as high as me.

My latency is always below 100ms, but i have noticed it myself too while farming the mechanar chest trick (earned 7k gold so far ^^ ) that when i jump and vanish, i see a dmg taken from one of the mobs, but still my HP bar is at 100%.

Imo, it DOES have to do with latency, but it doesnt have to be high for the vanish"bug" to work.
There is even a blue post somewhere of the vanish issue, when u vanish in bg/arena u still get a hit from the opponent. This is just the same effect, but counterwise

Yeah, it also works for damage.. pre bc i was at CoT and got hit by that big dragon in front (arachnos or something). And vanished, it worked the same way.

wat spec are you ?? if your a subtlety its all clear to me you just used cheat death i absorbed a 7k crit of the pitcommander

It's a lot easier with lag but i think it might be possible without it
If you vanish at the exact time you take damage you absorb the damage
Before CoS it was the greatest thing if you timed it to soak up a combustion pyro

Its easy.. i do it and i usually have around 60ms..
I use it to absorb skillcoil and pyroblast ect.. yust vanish as it hits you.
It works with Ice Block to.
And i even think it works for a warrior who changes to defencive(10% dmg reduction) at the right time.. not sure about that one tho.

btw i raid with 600-800ms and 900ms sometimes.. no1 complaines
