I don't see anything searching beyond throwing Raging Spirits off the platform in the encounter but let me know if this is a re-post.
To cause a Raging Spirit not to spawn, the player targeted for one simply has to die before the raging spirit is spawned. The best way of doing this would be a suicide run at the LK himself and eating the AoE.
Why do this? To do this on the P1 to P2 transition seems a bit crazy, sure. But on the P2 to P3 transition when there are 4, one less certainly could be a large help in getting them down quicker rather than dragging 1-2 back onto the platform during transition.
