Engage Arthas on heroic without killing end wing bosses on hard.

Hard mode Lich King is supposed to require, Blood Queen, Putricide and Sindragosa kills on heroic mode to unlock, however, this is not the case.

If you kill these 3 on normal mode, take the teleporter to the Lich King's platform, you can then set the mode to heroic, and face off against the hard mode version of the boss.

Possibly useful for people trying LK hard and not wanting to waste attempts on the other bosses since normal mode wipes do not use up attempts.

When you zone back in after the inevitable wipe, you will need to set it back to normal to get arthas to spawn, then back to heroic once on his platform.

The Lich King may not be attempted until Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana'thel, and Sindragosa are defeated. Furthermore, the Heroic difficulty of The Lich King encounter may not be attempted in any week unless the three aforementioned encounters have been defeated in Heroic difficulty that week.

The blue post I've included above has been written by Daelo, Blizzard's Lead Encounter Designer. If there's person should know how Icecrown Access Progression should work, it's him. I don't get how you can say it's "working as intended", the OP is right.

Unless you can find a post by him claiming otherwise, this is NOT working as intended, and will probably get fixed soon.

So you can just use all 20 attemps on lich king instead of accidentally wiping on sindragosa from a minor mistake, would be interesting to see world first LK kill from a guild who hasn't downed BQL or sindragosa yet

my thoughts are:

A.) why isnt this in elite section yet?
B.) What happens if someone DOES get a LK kill in this manner? I'm sure that if it happens before the majority of the world has gotten H LK kills, blizz is going to notice and pull a Martin Thunder on your arse.

(if you don't know, some kid got mailed a martin thunder shirt by mistake and used it ulduar. EVERY person in the raid was banned from the game.)
