Alliance mount Horde side

Ok, so I was walking around Thunder Bluff minding my business and all of a sudden I saw a Tauren riding a white cat. At first I thought it was one of those mounts that you get from cards (like the Spectral Tiger) but I moved the cursor over his icon buff and it said Swift Moonsaber, after a quick wowhead search I found out this mount is available through the argent crusade quartermasters in icecrown and only alliance could get it.
So I had a talk with the guy that was riding it and after a lot of persuasion he told me that he was alliance and he transferred his character to horde but when he logged out on his alliance char he was mounted on the Swift Moonsaber and when he logged his tauren the mount was there.
I'm looking for some one willing to test this cause I only have 1 char and I can't afford to transfer it due to guild issues...
I only hope the guy didn't lie to me...

It works. It's not the first time it's been done either.

Yes, it's not a bug though. As soon as you dismount the mount buff is gone and you will not be able to cast it again, since your mounts got switched to horde / alliance equivalents.

an also it only works if you switch you character to a tauren (because when you do the transfer you appear in your new races capital in the in and as far as i know only taurens inn is outside (meaning its the only 1 you can mount in) all the others dismount you emmidiatly) so basicly
1. mount up (idk if only argent tourny mounts)
2. character change
3. log out (while mounted ofc)
4. log in when you can chose your new race.
5. chose big ugly cow
6. ???
