    Bug Mage on GunShip

    I've seen some people have this bug happen accidentally, but I've seen this done with consistency with my method.

    As the Mage is being called out to freeze your ship's guns, have a tank in mid-air taunt them as they are running out but before channeling. This is made much easier with a DK's Death Grip, which has double the range of most tank taunts. The Mage will run around on the other faction's boat without channeling and not attacking anyone, your guns won't get frozen, and no more mages will spawn completely trivializing the fight.

    While the fight is already easy, this makes "On a boat" a cakewalk, and likely will make hardmode a complete breeze.


    So Far I've seen our guild's DK tank perform this on 2 10mans and 1 25. Let me know if you've any questions!

    I'm curious as to the repost you mention. There have been several Gunship esque bugs. having a hunter aggroing adds and disengaging off, Tank taunting and then rocketpacking back, but none that flat out negate the channel and prevent mages.

    By far this method is the cleanest and best exploit for Gunship as you don't lose anyone in the fight, it requires no setup or effort and is consistent.

    Of course, if this method has been already mentioned I will delete this post as I would with any exploit I post.

    Sofar searches for "Gunship" "mage" "taunt" have come up with nothing.

    Btw.. will the tank ( Dk preferred ) stay on the enemy ship or jump back to their own ship? Cause I am wondering whatkind beating the tank would be getting if it stays on enemy ship (Meaning the boss near the mage which is supposed to be tanked)

    The Tank can jump back to the original ship once the mage is bugged, along with all the melee dps that normally jump over.

    The Mage doesn't fight the Tank, they simply run around on the opposite faction's ship not casting anything. In all of our attempts they have simply run around and eventually gotten stuck in the back of the ship and sat there.

    So What I would do while testing this for yourselves, is proceed as normal with a kill, have dps assigned to jump over beat down shield & interrupt, but once the channel stops, with the mage still alive, have everyone retreat including the tank. Now you're bugged and no more mages will spawn and you're free to melt rocketteers and axe throwers to your hearts content.

    The day icc was out, we did 10 man, and the mage bugged, and we never got frozen. We got on the boat done, and now thinking back, the tank did jump over much earlier, and probably taunted the mage. I will try this again after the reset.

    there are currently 2 bugs to bug out the mage
    i've never tried to taunt the mage but gotta try it again next time
    that made the on the boat much more easier

    i'm sorta curius if there is any bugs about the full house...sorta tired to explain everything to my dudes again again and again

    With mid-air you mean: A tank goes to the other ship, wait's for the mage to come, jumps back and taunts after using his rocket pack?

    Did it myself yesterday and worked. Today, no longer works. Probably hotfixed.

    Just a minor point here, but a DK cannot death grip while in mid air.

    So yesterday we did Gunship and the 'hop off' method didn't work, however on one occassion the mage didn't freeze one of the guns (the other gun did freeze). Not sure if this means there is still a bug that might be exploitable, but thought I should post it in case anyone is still interested in trying to work this bug...
