Reset Raid Lockouts in Patch 3.3!!

Figured I'd post this, since I haven't been able to find anyone who posted it.

Since patch 3.3, you haven't been able to reset raid lockouts when you server transfer (since they reduced the cooldown to 3 days). However, I found a way to get around that.

When you transfer, if you do a ghetto name change, it resets your lockouts.

1. Create a character with your character to be transferred's name on your target server

2. Transfer the character to your new realm

3. When you get there, rename your character to something different.

4. Enjoy running twice the raids in a week!

Now obviously, this wouldn't be used to run all raids every 3 days unless you were obscenely rich, but it gives you an added perk when doing a server transfer anyways. raid everything, then transfer, and raid it again

good find, but 25$ for another (possible fail sense it will be a pug?) raid that week and then 25$ back is kinda wastefull

yeah, definetly wasteful, it's just a way to have an added plus when you are server transferring for another reason

and while there are fail pugs, some servers have very high quality pugs (mal'ganis / cho'gall both pug all current content with probably an 85% success rate)

Some did posted such similar threads about running raids twice a week. In my opinion, even If I was rich, I wouldn't pay 25 bucks every month only to raid some instances twice a week.

Sorry, I guess it is localized to something other then just a rename. I've done 5 transfers in the last week, and had it work every time, maybe it has to do with the type of server you are transferring to-from.

I will look into this more and re-post if I figure it out

dont work - faction change will reset all id´s, servertransfer will only reset the daily hero, and also factionchange+gm ticket to change back to the old faction WILL NOT WORK!

ive got a question in all srsness to OP. what are ur intentions for posting shit like this like its some epic type shit? for the avg wow raider, this is ALMOST common sense, and hardly worth the effort unless the transfer is free. other than that, this shit has been said many times before... like really, do you post this thinking its something new or even usefull? i just would like to know ur train of thought on the subject.

Since the bnet accounts update if you making a transfer you are keeping your ids.. and repost
