Looting without having Masterlooter

hello,

i found this out just a minute ago:

what you have to do to be able to loot wether you arn't the master looter:

Just die during the boss fight and RELEASE your ghost. after the boss is killed inside the instance, just go into the instance and loot the boss. You can now take the item that u desire... it is not the nice way, but its possible

mm question, wouldn't they start the looting while your dead (IE: rolls). which thwarts this entire procedure ?

Do it again and record it showing there is a Group loot and you taking the item without rolling. Else no +Rep for you.

what do u mean exactly? i wait in front of the instance entrance and enter the instance right after the chat tells me that the boss has been killed.

I can confirm this works, i released by accident in icc25 and once i got back in and zoned to the boss i went to see what dropped and it popped up and said if you loot this it will bind to you yada yada yada and i hit yes and took an item to see if it worked and everyone got mad at me lol.

Can't really confirm, but I had something similar happen a long time ago when I was lagging like hell in Naxx. I just remember doing the boss, dying, dissconnecting(when i released) and after that I was standing over the boss corpse able to give out loot as Master Looter to anyone except myself. But I guess it's another exploit, just similar

Confirmed, happened to me too yesterday, my gmaster was masterlooter, i clicked on 258 cloak ofthe untamed predator by mistake, i looted it
ofc i gave it to the original winner

It also works if you disconnect before the boss dies and log back in after he is dead.
