I dont know if one of my guildys was using an addon to track this or not but he sent me a whisper explaining how I was somehow forcing his client to send me whispers constantly (this was while i had the script enabled).

It has to be an addon... One I would like to know what the name of is so I can download it lol.

On a side note I would like to remind everyone that once you run the script it will continuously run... So say you do it to your guild... the guildies you knock offline will not be able to get back online AT ALL (you will see then connect, then disconnect again immediately, continuously) until you alt+f4/logout yourself. And you might not want to make those people too mad.

Also, while you are running this script you will get lag as you continuously force people offline.

I used this in Warsong Gulch and a whole bunch of players got a d/c and wow displayed a message saying that there where not enough players and the match would stop in 5 minutes.

So i was thinking if you use this every match in Warsong Gulch you have a chance to limit the match to only 5 minutes, the downside of this is that you have a big chance to get only 1 mark

Despite being told that you only need to push it once, you still want to spam it to disconnect the other faction? Especially since you cannot send any messages to the other faction at all, through addons or otherwise.

I don't even know how to respond to stupidity of that level.

I found an addon that will track addon messages called 'addonspamfu'

FuBar_AddonSpamFu - Addons - Curse

just make a new chat window and then (assuming your new window is the first new one YOU made) type
/addonspamfu displaychatframe chatframe3

then in that windows setting disable all other chat sources


also it seems like you can only use the whisper function when you are in some way connected with the person like guilded/grouped
after a lot of tests on randoms I see in trade chat I was not able to disconect any of them even when the messages were being sent

Am I risking a ban by using this?
Could be useful if I'm losing an arena match or a battleground, but it also DC's me (without the addon...).

Just wondering if it's safe to use or not. I did try it in a raid, twice, and it worked.

GearScore is bad.

People socketing completely wrong can get high gearscore, am I right?

I used it about five times in AV... the last disconnect completely wiped out my internet connection on the laptop I was using, and I've been doing everything - it is not working.

Sigh... it was fun while it lasted, but personally, I'm not doing it again ... it was like a bad trip on acid ... fun at first then at the end it wasn't good.

Any ideas what happened? Not one post has anything related to my problem, odd.

Fixed my issue... something shut some stuff off in the DM.

In no way am I saying don't use this; it's really fun - and can even be helpful.

But I'm gonna find out if they had any relation, this glitch and losing my internet; I feel it did. Until then, I'm going to use it in moderation on my old computer - thank you very much for this post, some good entertainment!

I have found that standing still in game and generally avoiding lots of comunication with the server works best for not disconecting yourself, so just try that and see if it works.

this works great for me but adjusting the 0.75-1.0 variable made no difference in the frequency of my disconnection. sometimes it happened and sometimes not. spamming is a 100 percent d/c. I was successful with both the GUILD and the BATTLEGROUND switch. but i took the vast majority of users out of eye of the storm on my side while the warmup was still in countdown. now, i did this a few times and by the start of the game not a single gs user was in the bg. the thing I'm curious about is ... im a pretty hardcore battleground player and thus have no use for gearscore. gearscore users obviously are out for the raids and such. that said, do you think i raised the likelihood of bg geared users by continuing to filter out 100 percent of responsive gs clients? it's really impossible to say cause the average newb may not have even heard of gearscore and be chillin there with us in all greens. we won by a landslide that game, btw.
