    Steady shot Macro

    Hello every one, I am not new to the site. but I have recently started psoting figured I should share some one m WoW knowledge sence I have been ready yalls for about a year now. any way. I play a hunter (lvl 70) and I have found a MAcro to increase your DPS by a decent amount. now I am sure it has been posted befor but I went through a couple of pages in the Serch and didn't see it, so I figured to make a fesh post about it.

    /castsequence reset=3 Steady Shot, Auto Shot

    this Macro will start casting you Auto shot AND your steady shot at the same time. meaning they are gonna run on the same castsequence. curently I am sporting around my Steel hawk X-bow. the casting time on my suto shots is just over or under (I forget lol) 2 Sec. and Steady shot has a 1.5 sec casting time. so I only have to wait roughly .5(1/2) of a second for my auto shot to go off. steady shot hits for maybe 100 less dmg than my auto shot so, instead of having to ruin your shot rotation by missing an auto shot b/c of falty SS timing, all ou have to do is spam this button whal your Arcane shot and Multy shot are on Cooldown

    Thanks
    Ajex:wave:
    PS. if you want any other tips or anything on Macros let me know and I will try and hook you up. thanks
    BTW plz excuse my bad Engrish/Typing skills thanks

    Re: Steady shot Macro

    If you have autoshot on 2 seconds, and steady is 1.5. That means the autoshot will happen 0.5 seconds after steady shot. Then you can use steady again. Shouldn't the timer be better set at 2? Or am I just completely disfunctional with Macros? ;D

    Re: Steady shot Macro

    Meh, it's basic at the very least. I used to use that macro, but still trying to time it flawlessly with Kill Command was becoming a pain, so I now use the following:-

    /script UIErrorsFrame:Hide()
    /castsequence reset=3 Steady Shot, Auto Shot
    /cast Kill Command
    /script UIErrorsFrame:Clear(); UIErrorsFrame:Show()

    Definately more bang for your buck

    this Macro will set the casting sequence fo your auto shot and your SS together, sorta a way aroudn the timers. shaves soem times off your auto shots is allwith steady shots added in, meaning you can get a few more off. + steady shot hits for ALMOST the same amount as Auto's do. giver or take (mostlikely take) 50-100. so basicly your getting 2 auto shots off in a little under 1 auto shot

    armagideon sry but I can't PM yet lol don't ahve 10 posts. but to ancer your question I am un aware of a MAcro to Cast ALL 4 of your totems in a row, I could do a little reserch and figure out how you can Tag all $ fo them to a MAcro to where you click it once it layer your fist second click second totem ECT. sry I am of no help

    Thanks I will try out this MAcro. Been looking for one that will Tag those together (not the greatest with MAcros but I can get my way aorund with a little Reasherch)

    Re: Steady shot Macro

    Ajex, I know the SS rotation by heart. I get off 2 shots every 2 seconds myself, but manually, not counting the slight delay when Kill Command needs to be pushed. But the question was regarding the 3. Doesn't that mean that it will reset after 3 seconds? If so, you will lose 1 second of DPS by using this macro. But as said, I'm a nooblet when it comes to Macros, so that 3 might mean something completely different.

    Also, by spamming a button to make it go off instead of timing the pressing actually decreases DPS based on quite a few tests using the two different methods. It was posted in the official wow-europe forums quite a while back. The reason is that if you're good at timing one push, you lose a few microseconds that you will miss out in between pushes when spamming it.

    SPaming is a "metiforicle" term meanign your don't sjut sit there and tap it, you hit it and RIGHT after your auto shot goes off you hit it again

    Re: Steady shot Macro

    I myself have been using this macro since i first heard about it from these forums, however, i have found my DPS to be higher when i set it to reset=2.52 (my attack speed [ Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix with the haste modifier of Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina ]) So right after your auto shot fires, you're steady shot is ready for another cast. More DPS than being lazy and setting it to 3 for me anyway.

    And on the note of the Kill Command infusion deal, The kill command will delay your Steady Shot cast. Thus making your DPS actually fall, i find it better to manually press kill command right after my steady shot is cast. My bar settup works perfectly: KC = 1, Steadyshot Macro = 2, Multishot = 3. So in other words combining KC into your SS macro is negative DPS.

    Just my observations.

    Re: Steady shot Macro

    This might sound kinda noobie lol but is there a way to make a macro that makes my hunter cast aimed shot then multi-shot? i dunno if its possible its probably not but i thought i would just ask to see if there is a way or not.
