I was hoping that the buff would stay there when you swapped specs...........THAT would of been a worthy exploit.
...It does stay there when you swap. And it does stay (after you swap) for more than one hit, at least it did for me.
OK there seems to be some confusion here.
A) Is the "exploit" that you keep the short duration buff after swapping specs until you cast a spell that consumes it?
B) Or is the exploit that it stays on after swapping specs and does not fade like it should after a spell is cast that should consume it?
Option A would be meh, option B would be pretty pimp.
It is an onetime solution.
Option B would be imba to the core. But sadly it's a one time use 30% critical strike damage.
I ran a bit of math through it using the mage of a friend - Spell Power (the talent) is added in when factoring total damage (if of course your arcane spec has the talent) for that one critical strike.
Only thing that kept my attention - a blues gear mage (friend's mage is crap) bolting a 13k pyroblast.

Hmm, I may have to give this a try for some fun lowbie pyro pvp
