Fixed* Anub'arak Heroic.

^That thread attempted to exploit Anub'arak by autowalking into the wall that materializes when you begin the fight in ToC Heroic.

After a bit of looking into it, it doesn't have anything to do with autowalking directly. Rather than post in the sea of "Working! +rep" and "not workinglolz", I figured I'd clean it up a bit.

To exploit the Anub'arak fight in ToC Heroic, when Anub'arak targets and works his way towards you, run to the clear wall and wait for him. When he gets just out of melee range from you, strafe parallel to the wall.

Since Anub'arak can't "turn on a dime". he'll attempt to turn to hit you but will hit the wall instead. This will stop him in his tracks and cause him to pick another target.

You will need to be careful though, doing this will only make him change targets, he will not slow down at all. Make sure the others in the group are near ice patches unless he is about surface or someone will get rocked.

I'll try to post some SS tonight after raid for those who don't understand. Good luck on the Anub'arak kills guys.

EDIT- As you can see in the huge picture below, when the boss gets around that close to you, strafe away from him. You may need to move faster or slower depending on Anub'arak's speed.

beacuse u've obviously never researched heroic anub. You get 6 patches of ice.

While using the patches is fine in regular mode, in hard mode you have a very limited number of them.When doing hard mode, you need to do a fair bit of kiting before you can have him smash ice patches so you don't run out before the fight is over.

With this exploit/trick, you can avoid wasting ice patches completely.

Never tried though I assume it used to. After doing Anub'arak tonight, he sure turns a hell of a lot faster than he used to. It may still work for you if you get lucky but I believe this one has been fixed.
