Using the auction house, and the addon "Trade Skill Master" I posted just over 1000 auctions, and was able to lag myself out for a good 4 minutes. Could probably go higher.

How did u lag urself out like that?
I just post THOUSANDS of small auctions *cough* Mild Spices *cough* and use a macro program (razer naga) to click way faster than it can compute. the addon I'm using is TSM (Trade Skill Master) feel free to ask any more questions
This is accomplished VERY easily using programs like "Netlimiter", which limit the download/upload speed for selected programs.
You can use this to fly indoors, get to hidden places, get past mobs unharmed, huge advantage in PvP -- invincibility etc.
Just saying that there is a huge potential with this... and errr... easier ways then creating thousands of auctions for "Mild Spices"... haha ^.^
Well, yea, TSM does when it's processing the queued posting/cancelling. The speed at which you queue more items throttles at around 1K auctions - you can't queue 10K posts/cancels in one go and lag for 10 minutes.
do you think this is the method how they create huge amounts of queen's garnet (dupe them)?
creating a lag with TSM / Netlimiter and then opening the geods?
cheers
I dont think the Queen's Garnet Dupe is working anymore since in my server i cant see more like : "WTS Tons OF Queen's Garnet 10k per stack"
Ok, there is a very big difference between lagging and desyncing.
This video demonstrates lagging. Downloading files, using netlimiter -- they all slow down the rate at which information is sent between the client and the server. This has it's uses. There are a few interesting exploits with this, but it's mostly explorational stuff/PvP exploits/fun visuals -- not really my area of interest, but each to their own.
About the Queen's Garnets, what is a entirely different story. In the case of many dupes, they involve a process called desyncing -- see "Trade Window Exploit" for a nice example. The flow of information is not slowed or changed, rather the server and client interact differently -- you are "desyncronized"; actions can be taken like the following: you withdraw item from guild bank, item goes to your inventory, server does not register the removal of said item from bank, but does register the creation of item in inventory. See the concept? The actions are supposed to be linked right? When you withdraw it disappears... That's where desyncing comes in handy. Obviously that was just an example.
Methods to duplicate items do exist -- they always will. Actually have some good friends who I met in-game, which work in gold/item selling companies. They definitely confirm multiple dupe methods (helps to know a little Chinese haha). But you can obviously tell that dupes are alive and well -- check your AH for people selling 10+ Queen's Garnet, watch trade, use TheUndermineJournal.
I think the best way to discover said methods is by having a look at past methods of duplication -- even very early ones, and learning from them. Slightly change the methods, play with them, use different variables/circumstances. Also try combining methods. Interesting post I read a few weeks ago, about the guy who discovered one of the first dupes back in Vanilla; he actually just combined two very simple, unrelated exploits.
Last but not least -- simplicity. A lot of current dupe methods are plain old simple. They are not hard, using complicated programs etc. They just use the game mechanics in creative ways, and under creative circumstances -- i.e. desynced. See where I'm heading?
Anyways, good luck, there are definitely dupe methods -- confirmed by Chinese sellers and I =)
Just do lots of reading of past exploits -- biggest hint I can give. Many "fixed" things, occasionally just require tweaking ^.~

Do you guys think its possible to desynch and then mine a ore over and over again?
I thought of that yesterday when i saw 163 stacks of obsidium for 16g each O.o
the 163 stacks isnt that impressive, i assume its a bot. if you set it up right lazybot cna get taht in a day or so with item mailing on (idk if item mailing still works in the new versions without arutha helping)
over 1000 views and no rep? Whether of not this can be achieved by any other exploit, I'd still enjoy a tiny bit of rep pleasebeen stuck @ 1 forever...
i wonder if this will work...
+rep
Ah!
Auctionator is doing the same thing when you post shit and tries to cast spells/chat etc immedietly after.
I usually post alot of stuff at the AH at my main and as a mage uses blink to get out as fast as possible and mount up, it usually fails though since the addon causes me to client-lag and my blink is delayed up to 20 seconds, never tought of exploiting it though![]()
But i definetly see some use in this for explorationsor perhaps quick travelling haha :P
