To make 5 Heavy Knothide Leathers it would take you 125 Knothide Leathers Scraps and that would only cost you around 12 gold so you would be making a profit of 8 gold .

Never noticed this in my realm, i always just mailed 15-20 stacks to a guildie who buys all my leather lol.
