    Take no damage from lava

This exploit may work with other forms of "liquid" areas that you can swim in that cause you to take damage, but I have only tested this in the lava in MC and BRD.

The exploit is rather simple. Each second you are in Lava a DoT ticks you for a certain amount of damage. What you do is, while swimming in the lava, keep your camera above the lava at all times, and while swimming, spam your Space (or whatever you Jump with), and as long as you jump the second you hit the lava, you will never take any damage.

This may not be of much use to many but I've used this to farm the last boss in BRD very quickly by avoiding damage that would kill my twink in a few seconds.

Normal jumping won't work because you sink almost instantly, and if you don't hit jump as soon as you're about to hit the lava you'll still take damage.

so your claiming that if you have your camera on top of your toon, and then jump, its different from normal jumping? that you will be able to beat the timer on lava damage?

You've always been able to beat the lava damage, anybody from vanilla/pre BC I guarantee knows about this... Back then the 600 dmg tick did alot of damage, had to find a way to avoid it.

This does count as an exploit.

I played before TBC and I didn't know about this (never really needed to). +Rep to OP

Yah, this existed in Vanilla WoW when you would go through the lava to get attuned to MC, and position of camera doesn't matter. The way this works is because all Lava runs on the same tick so it doesn't matter how long your in the lava but as long as you are not in the lava when it ticks to do damage.

From my experience you get less damage as it ticks less often. It was (or is) the same with the pipe before you enter gluths lair. If you jump you didn't get as much damage as the other raid members.

Been using this for a long time, but I don't see how "keep jumping into lava = not getting burned" could be anything close to common sense. And alll this spam is so retarded that it even makes this thread rep worthy !

It might be common sense, but its not a repost, and its most def an exploit.

While we're at it, you can also line of sight spell casts and ranged attacks using walls and pillars to prevent damage.

    /facepalm.

That's working as intended. This isn't.
