Ranged Weapon easy skillups

This is a tip where you can
skill up ranged weapons without running out of mobs or getting attacked

As part of the argentum tournament event blizz seems to have changed some
mobs combat mechanic to attack only those players which are sitting one of
those event mounts. What this means for you is that without sitting on a
event mount you can savely park your character at the mob, hit the autoshot
button and enjoy your easy skillup.




Further Info:
Those guys are elite and have 23k hp so even as a lvl 80 autoshot will take
quite a while to take one down and you mostly will find 2-3 of those arround you so it runs smootly without wasting time

It might be also a easy xp spot but can't say anything about that since i was
there with a lvl80 char, going to ckeck the xp tomorrow
(getting there without a flying mount takes some time and many deaths)

definitely not for the guide section. you're not supposed to be able to attack them without being attacked back.

Well, my guess was that in a way its working as intended, they are supposed not to attack you back cause they would twoshot you without beeing on a event mount

another Way is to attack "Dr.Boom" in NetherStorm (BC). i think he has about 1,2 mio HP. He is not moving just sending his Bombs, but if you are far away they will not reach you.

I'd say that this is an exploit, it is working as intended that they dont attack you when you're off your mount, but was not intended to get 'easy' skill ups with ranged weapon from it.

Short News : most likely doesn't work for chars below 78 (restriction trough quest lvl in argentum tournament)

Long Version:
Okay, checked the spot with a low lvl character like promised, went there with a lvl 70
priest since levitate dalaran -> icecrown is way faster then going there by mount on the normal land route.

Results are quite disappointing, looks like the mobs are part of this new feature where landscape & mobs change for you as you quest. Meaning for a lvl 70 there are no mobs
and so far i have no idea which quests need to be done to unlock them.
Logically you would assume the argentum quests but i know that those guys where there before the tournament which could mean you might need another prequisite
