My current 19 block twink is a mage. You know the drill, +20 fire to gloves, +30 spell power to staff, etc. Often when I go to the Gulch I can 2-shot with fireball the retarded level 18 and under that show up for... whatever reason the morons think it a good idea to show up under 19... anyway I found this semi exploit...
Point 1) Range attacks go through terrain uninhibited in BGs. Hills, trees, etc.
Point 2) Both GYs are located atop a hill with a nice hiding spot along their left side as you approach them from the field. Just stand flat against the hillside and move along the hill to the left until you find a nice flat side, near the corner.
Point 3) Most WoW players are morons.
Now if you take these 3 valid points and combine them with a "cycle target nearest enemy" hotkey, much havoc can be achieved. Once your ranged class is in place out of their normal "run straight ahead and jump" stupidity, you tap your hotkey until you find target, and nuke away. Since you are below them, and nuking through the hillside, the blasts seem to come almost from nowhere. Often they are dead before they can get out of range, landing you free kills. Even funnier, after the first death they seem to start backing away from the GY in fear, meaning they move slowly, letting you nuke them to death easier, and they stay above you, letting your blasts continue to come from "nowhere".
Just be wary of 2 things. Pet classes and the same n00bcakes over and over. The Lock and Hunter pets will make a line for you as soon as their owner takes damage, (Yes the pets are easy to kill, but this gives away your location!) I have been known to let them leave the GY unmolested. And you stop getting honor after ganking the same tard over and over. (although even for 0 honor it is HILARIOUS to kill the same worthless level 16 rogue 107 times in one gulch... WTF is a 16 rogue doing in the gulch? I dunno, but I made sure that idiot won't want to come back for awhile)
Other notes:
My mage does have the fireball range extension talent, a Hunter using this hiding spot would do well with their ext range talent as well I am sure. This SHOULD work with any range class, but all I am 100% certain of now is Mage.
Have Fun Ganking n00bcakes!
