4 marks in Wintergrasp

Searched and didn't find anything similar. Also I'm not sure if this is a real exploit, but it was the best place to post it.

How to get 4 marks in WG:

We (the alliance) was defending WG, and the horde was almost inside WG fortress. At 10 seconds left they destroyed our last gate, but they didnt manage to click the titan relic before a msg said:

The Alliance has Defended Wintergrasp!.

But ~one second after it said The Horde has captured Wintergrasp!.

It was of course bad to lose, but I got 4 marks! Some of the guys that was close to me also got 4 marks. Guess this works both ways, and in that case it's just to wait untill the defenders have won to click the relic, and you will get 4 marks.

I know about the "remove names" thingy, and have removed all names except one, just to proof that we got 4 marks (it is not my name =P ). Also, it is not client side, cuz I did go from 2 to 6 marks.



I assure you that this is no photoshop. Don't even got photoshop.

A bug? Yes. Even works in your favor too. HOWEVER, this cannot be easily reproduced on demand, so its usefulness is questionable.

BTW, what addon do you use to make a bar on for aspects? :]

Looks like the "hunter" module in Autobar is enabled, on each class it assigns aspects, blessings etc to their own bar if you have it turned on.

it happens when the fight is lagging real bad at the end. it has happened to me as well as couple of times

Well, yes.. or no.
This happend to me once, we (alliance) were attacking the fortress and due the hardcore lag (5+ raidgroups on each side) on our server both factions won. But I didnt get 4 Marks, just three (2 for ma rank and one for the loss).

So maybe, if he/she is playin on a damn high population server, were always alot of ppl join wintergrasp and its lagging like hell.. it could be possible, that this happens to him/her more than once. Kinda luck based

A WG battle is like this: Hordes got 20 stakcs of tenacity. Not because they are few, but the alliance is even more. Maybe 2-3 full 40-man groups on both side, + 20 on the alli side. This gives A lot of lag

yes, strange things can happen on WG when lag hits. I guess for the same reason when WG is about to end, there goes the mass disconnects, where thoose player will not get any token.
Maybe the system just compensates

Get youre raid to stay inside beside the relic, as soon as the chamber is broken evryone get massiv lag making it impossible to click it and survive more than a min.

Also when the 4 marks bug happend, the attackers got inf of time to win so exploiting this will prob give you a ban.
