Still works!
If you get the "King" buff, relog and it should work.
I had to go back there today to lvl my unarmed on rogue and when I killed the king I talked to the ogre and he gave me a debuff. If you have the debuff you can't do this!!! So don't talk to anyone after you kill him.
If you accidently do get the debuff... Log out for 3 mins and back in and it should be gone and you should be good.

Currently skilling up 1-hand mace and 0-360 has only taken like 5-6 minutes! Worked like a charm for me, and this is the first bug I've got to use before it got nerfed! Thanks a bunch!

Works fine but in my humble opinion it's worth to spend time for this only if you are lvling from 0. If you have only few points left it's better to do it in VH.
Any ideas if this still works in 3.2?
Confirmed that it still works in 3.2. But does in fact take quite a bit of time. 275-400 = 29 mins of auto attacking. Great if your not in a hurry, but lacking if you are. Still, nice find overall.
Still works. IDK if it's just me but it takes like 15 minutes for me to go from 1-399 and then it takes me 45 mins from 399-400... LOL

This is still working as of 3.3. Glad to find a new trick for leveling weapon skill easily.
It's worth noting that these mobs can deal out a fair amount of damage over time, even to an 80. Pallies will have nothing to worry about, but I leveled several skills as a feral druid. It's a good idea to sit by your computer, put on a movie or turn on the television, and cast a quick healing spell every few minutes (or back off and bandage, if your class doesn't have any healing abilities). The doomguard will stop attacking as soon as you stop attacking it, so there's never any danger of dying as long as you're paying attention.
This does not work as a 70, even though the post says 70+, once you get into DM north past the main door into the corridor, you will aggro everything you get near unless you can stealth.
