I think people should be careful with these posts....if Blizzard sees people taking too much advantage of their gracious restoration, they may take it away completely, and then if/when you really do screw up, you'll be the child who cried wolf.

blizzard have logs of all characters on an account, and they will not just hand you a lvl 70 char with epics, sorry i know you would like that but its not gonna happen...ever.
Blizzard always checks their logs just to check someone isn't bullshitting them.
and bullshitting them like this will most likely result in a ban.
and the restore possibility's is a set amount of a fixed period i think but im far from sure on this.

No way in hell are they gonna give you a level 70 character of whatever class you specify just because you claim it was deleted by an account hacker. They only restore characters and items you actually had and they have a record of. Even a legit restoration may not give you an epic you accidentally deleted a minute after you got it, because it hasn't been logged yet.

Point 1)
the phone is to Billing and Account services. As in, they handle subscription information, cancellations, and billing errors... there IS NO PHONE LINE TO GMs. Period.

Point 2)
If your account were banned, and you called Billing Services, they would explain to you that your account is closed. That is ALL they would do for you. Period.

Point 3)
If you vendored all the items from your 70, and sent the money to a seperate account, and then said it was hijacked, you MIGHT get most or all of your gear back. But I do not think they would reimburse you for gold at all. So the only gold you would take from Blizz would be whatever you sent yourself. And I would hope you sent it to a second account, and not one listed to you... and not one of your friends as it would be traceable... and if you reported your account hacked/hijacked that might get your friend investigated.

The rule is... most WoW players are retarded. Blizz is sometimes slow and dim witted, but not ever retarded when it comes to account hijacks and bans.
