    [Druid] Mana Exploit

The druid spell Lifebloom (Lifebloom - Spell - World of Warcraft 28% of base mana as a level 80 Tauren Druid is about 978-980.) was recently changed to cost more mana, and return half the mana back at the end of the duration of the spell.

But, the Tree of Life talent (Tree of Life - Spell - World of Warcraft) reduces the mana cost of Lifebloom (well, all HoTs) by 20%. Making it cost 978 to 782 mana. I was curious with this and decided to see if it was really 'working as intended'. I casted Lifebloom, only one, and at the end I got 490 mana back.

The reduction of mana cost on HoTs is currently bugged and doesn't effect the mana return on Lifebloom.

This also works with the trinket Spark of Hope (Spark of Hope - Item - World of Warcraft).

    Enjoy

is it supposed to give you less mana back? I just assumed the talent wouldn't affect the return >_>

It's giving more mana then intended back. Although this is just hearsay. We're going to need Screenshots or some confirms. I play a druid myself, but I have no intrest in respeccing Resto and making use of this.

Im pretty sure that this is working as intended, since its the base mana that counts.

Working as intended. References to spell mana costs use base mana cost before reductions/increases.

LB cost 732 -- for pvp if im getting oom i just put it on my 2s partner
    500 Mana back + 400-800 mana over 5-10 sec = 2 LB

Fail, this is working as intended -.-

Blizzard have commented on it many times, it's the people who mindlessly screamed NEEEEEERF and cut themselves that didnt notice that lifebloom is more mana efficient than it was

Working as intended but just as an aside to this. I usually like to wait for a clearcasting proc and use LB then. Even though the spell costs 0 mana because of clearcasting it still refunds you

... how? lifebloom was mana efficient because of the 5 second rule being able to keep it stacked and re-applying at 9seconds is why it was mana efficient.

if im right in saying they nerfed tree of life so that it no longer reduces mana cost of HoT's and the replaced it with an armour buff instead, or better than before anyway... only real reason for having tree form now is for the extra BH u can get in talents, but yeh i think the reduced mana cost if any will only affect the original mana cost...
slight trick if timed right, can be helpfull during boss fights, in resto tree spec the talent that gives u a free mana cast, cant remember the name of it, just cast lifebloom on someone and ur get the mana back from it, free mana

Edit: just realised this was mentioned in another post above me, sorry

They didn't remove it from the talent, they removed it from the form and added it as a permanent bonus. (What im trying to say is the 20% mana reduction is still there, it just affects your HoTs at all times instead of only in tree form.)
