I found a way to pop him outside quite reliably.

Cast MC and be ready to cancel the MC "buff" as soon as you get control. He'll pop outside for a while, so your friend will have time to pull him away !

Tried this on my mage. You can also polymorph him and wait for the debuff to run out, blink towards him and he will chase you out after you get teleported. I think there is some sort of trick that I have yet to master, as I can't get it to work every time.

This trick about the MC part is a nice find . it is a repost for getting to him though, since i was the one who contributed it 4 weeks ago. Also you can kill him with a lock while his in the room as well. Just fear him and apply your dots , make sure though that as soon as fear is about to disappear to apply it quickly because his hp resets fast. and you can't reapply fear him while the fear is up because it says there a powerful spell already on him.

I guess i found another way, you need several caster to dps, and 1 drood that spam root, the guy get damage when he is stuck on root.
