I might be wrong but i thought that your hidden team ratings (2s,3s,5s) are on separate hidden ratings. If that is the case wouldn't this not work?

Wrong, if you have 2000+ on a 3s and a 5s and try and do 2s you'll only face teams in the 1900-2k+ region. This could potentially work, but with Flawless Vic being taken out come 3.1 because of methods of obtaining it such as the one outlined in the OP, this is useless.

How come a Blue poster (read: Blizzard) states that the hidden ratings are not connected in ANY way, and that there are 3 different hidden ratings, one for 2v2, one for 3v3 and one for 5v5. There is just no reason they would lie about that, and they have also made several blue posts explaining the hidden rating system more detailed.
