Before you all hasten to label this useless, there was a time in WoW when raid groups
needed every possible advantage in order to succeed in certain encounters. The FR buff off of Scarshield Spellbinders in LBRS, for instance, was an enormous boon to guilds learning Ragnaros. Raids would stack consumables for nearly every boss, and during a particularly ridiculous period where C'thun was simply unkillable, we would try increasingly convoluted strategies to combat his glitches; I recall one particularly stupid attempt that involved Sheen of Zanza potions. -_-
True, there are no real "burn" fights on the level of M'uru or even Brutallus in WotLK, but that's not to say that one won't eventually be implemented. It's a lot of effort to get this buff, especially given the distances involved, but assuming this little trick isn't fixed there may come a day where it will come into its own.
Besides, its not nearly as useless or sketchy as most of the stuff in this subforum.
