Hallows Eve exploits work for Love Is In The Air

Remember the exploit used at Hallows Eve to get extra treats from innkeepers? The same tricks can be used to get stuff from the Love is in the Air NPC's. The following screenie was taken by me manually rmb'ing on the guard and spamming my macro on the guards outside the IF bank



What macro you ask? This.

It's not the best, but it works when combined with a clicker such as Autoclicker. Set the clicker to RMB on the guard or townsperson. The townsperson MUST NOT be a vendor, or it won't work properly.

The clicker should click approx once every half second on the guard and then half a second later on the macro mentioned above. That will allow you to collect the gifts slowly. If you crank up the speed of the clicker you should be able to collect multiple gifts at a time, like I did in the pic above.

Another trick is this. In several cities, you will see two guards standing near each other. For example, in Ironforge there are often guards standing on either side of doorways. These guards interact with each other in some way, so that by manually clicking on one of the guards you can accept the gifts from both of them. For example, even if one of the guards is female and you are wearing perfume, if the male guard is the "primary gifter" then talking to him will allow you to collect the gifts from both the guards.

If anybody has any hints to optimize the macro (have never coded with lua before -.-) leave a post and I'll update this one.

EDIT: Swza pointed out that the following macro will work for npc's that have the option second, rather than first.

Will result in 24/48 hour ban for sure, like they did with the treats exploit, they see you've gained more than you should have then boom.

I can't remember that happening, but I don't remember properly, I couldn't be bothered going for the achieve anyway as I rerolled, but yeah, I guess it's something that they can/will do.

Got the critter, the helmet and some masks removed from my character for using this at helloween, besides the 48h ban.
But best part is, I got the helmet or the critter (don´t know anymore) by drop from horseman, but they removed it.

Won´t use it this time, need the achievment ^^

Using an autoclicker with the setting of 0.5 seconds like I mentioned will not get you banned. It doesn't cause you to take more than 1 gift every few minutes. Speeding it up might, but that was really only a theory as I did it all by hand and got lucky a few times.

PS. bryonz0rz, I'd love to hear your explanation of how burning the gifting cooldown on two guards, while only interacting with one, is common sense.

I got a 24 hour ban and my pet and hat removed when I did this during Hallow's end, I woulden't recommend doing this.

Doing this for Halloween was useful since you got multiple chances per hour to get that drop for the achievement

IT IS 100% USELESS NOW since the multiple "friendship" gifts/pledges you get are worthless. So you are going to get banned for nothing.
