where did you get the idea that it is supposed to only spread the DK disease?

I have a crazy idea here.. If you any of you remember the annoying ZOMBIE infestation pre-WOTLK. Didn't that count as a disease? If somone was to log into their still diseased zombie (I have 2, since I logged out when I got it and never logged back in), and a dk and the zombie char attack a mob, the mob becomes diseased, and then uses Pestilence to spread the disease to all mobs within the area, you could quickly infect large amounts of mobs. This method could also be used in in outposts etc. of the opposite faction.

This is much faster then having to self destruct as a zombie, and infecting everything. (And having the small chance that it will glitch and nothing get infected)

This can be used to REALLY annoy the opposite faction.

i have 30,8k ub hp dk tank and i didnt know that u could spread some other spells than dk diseases with pestilence i quess ive been living in a hole then...

Spreading this with pestilence will not only put it on every mob, but you can REFRESH IT on every mob without the priest having to recast at all for an entire fight. Not to mention the priest will be regaining shit loads of HP with all the the plagues ticking.

This priest ability was created A LOT earlier than Death Knights were created and it just added some flavor as a racial disease ability to the Undead. I'm sure it is an oversight that Blizzard didn't intend to spread with pestilence, but still does because of the mechanics of the ability. But just keep this in mind when defining an exploit: "Allowed by the game mechanics but likely against developer intent, and damaging to the normal flow of gameplay."
