Just did this as horde with 280% speed mount. Just fly straight into the room and hug the top, keep doing it until you land on the statue platform(the chick statue not the tank) and from there you can tag him with any ranged attack(I used LB which has a 30 yd range, pallys may not have anything with that range but other classes should have something)

From there you can mess with the allys, I just tagged him and have been sitting here with Healing Stream Totem down letting him beat on me (he only hits for 50-60 and I'm naked =P) so they can't get the quest =D. Have fun I'm sure this will be fixed soon.

I successfully attacked the Alliance Battlemaster as a Horde... I (as a druid) used flight form and timed my unshift so that I got launched and landed to the left of the center (will upload screenie as soon as I get home). Btw, it's FAR more annoying to TANK them (they hit for ~50 on a Leather/Cloth resto druid) - when the NPC is aggroed, you can't take quests - and as long as you don't move, you don't get ported by the guards.
