Farming for Gold/Honor in SotA

At the upper right hand corner of the Strand of the Ancients battleground, there are some shark mobs. These mobs are killable and they have normal loot tables, meaning that you can farm them for greens like this for some gold while getting honor during the match! Here's a screenshot of a green I got from the second one I killed.

Don't think this is a real exploit, but I don't think Blizzard intended them to drop normal items either.

There was a "making money in SotA" thread that was moved somewhere earlier this week. Is this the same thing that was in there?

Considering that an exploit is a way to make money or another form of gain (This way money and honor at the same time) in an unintended way, I think this classifies as an exploit since I doubt Blizzard intended people to farm sharks for gold. This is especially useful if your side tends to get clobbered in SotA but you need marks.

And the sharks are pretty out of the way, some people not think to really look there due to the actual fighting going on.

Sure this is somewhat cool. But how many people want to farm things they can farm outside of BG's while they could be on the way to get honor gear :/

Alot of the honor from BGs comes from the end of matches themselves, so you'd still get that honor.

Plus I just realized that while other "AFK spot" threads are often pointless because people can report you after seeing you've done nothing, the damage to the reef sharks shows up in your damage so you appear to be fighting and won't be seen or caught AFK.
