Small dps increase for all classes

In SM, library to be specific, there used to drop a "on use" item that summoned a level 34 hound. Thing is, now its a trinket and doesnt waste charges. It doesnt scale with level but still hits for 50-60ish at 85.


But heres the kicker: If you replace the trinket after using it, the dog stays. So just summon the dog, replace trinket with your normal one, and enjoy your small dps increase.

its no difference then dps fishing up scrolls in tbc. Every little bit helps for end game progress.

cept for me i use the pumpkins from the headless horseman's sword. which are lvl 80

Minion doesnt despawn on unequipping. it should.

i agree that every little helps, but it is a little useless :P an extra 2k damage in a 10man if everyone uses it?
although i am guilty of already doing this with the Yogg+0 10man trinket. looks awesome and does a bit more damage than the puppy :P (still stays after removing)

its a good find but it wont really help with dps, what it might help with are effects where damage is spread equaly between everybody in range, i know some of them work with the scarabs from that tol'vir archeology item so i assume it would work with this, just need to find a way to get them to stand where you want them too and not die before they take the hit

it hits for 50 in 2 secs, almost nothing

well if it tick every 2 sec like the one above said, its 1500 a minute so mabe en extra dot tick. for a raid fight that is like 7 minutes its 10.5k.... nothing to go crazy about and it will most likely get kill in the first aoe.

what about arenas/bg's? maybe you could summon the dog and change back the trinket during preparation?

It will have a crazy miss chance against a lvl 87/boss. And even if it hits he will die soon, pretty useless imho.

I find it funny that a majority of people saying it sucks are LL's. Nice find, everything counts for something.
