Umm..I don't think this is even a group quest. That alone should tell you that your not expected to solo an elite with 51k HP.

You could of course happen to be a druid...

The quest even states:

"Should you be in need of Xink's Shredder Control Device, speak to Xink at Nozzlerust Post."

It's meant to be used on that quest.

imo Working as intended, but intended or not, this is confirmed. (I've done it on two alts now)

In the "Harp on This" quest it says in the text "Should you be in need of Xink's Shredder Control Device, speak to Xink at Nozzlerust Post" hinting that you can use the shredder, and in Lumber Hack it says "The Harpies are sure to disagree with you chopping down their homes - just deal with them as necessary.", hinting to use the shredder to kill them.

Common sense much?
