Was playing around on my warr, dueled my ele sham friend, I normally start with a reflect after my charge.. I reflected and Boom, he got knocked back, I look at the combat log, and it REFLECTED thunderstorm, and AoE, which is not intended.

I have a warrior and have done this a few times, it is a spell so I don't see why this wouldn't be intended.
It's an AoE, it is not intended, try to reflect a magma totem, or an aoe fear, etc..
I've reflected several AOE spells, without Improved Spell Reflect.
Arcane Explosions and such from mobs in Naxxramas, for example.
Either common sense or intended, or even both. Wouldn't put this in the Exploit section at all, I've seen loads of AoE spells get reflected, even the death grip from DKs can be reflected, it's like charging with a DK!.
Anyway, no rep from me I'm afraid.

hmm still nice,

You idiots (except the OP). Spell Reflect is NOT intended to reflect any area of effect spells, including Thunderstorm, Arcane Explosion, Frost Nova etc. It sometimes reflects spells that hit the whole raid, like Shadowbolt Volley, it may reflect the one bolt hitting the Warrior, but that is all.
Unless they've changed it since I last PvPed then that is how it works.
hmmmm dnno what to say ill try it
<3, You play a warrior too, I assume
You can reflect death grip I assume because it's a single target spell.
Naxx is PvE, you can reflect almost any spell except some bosses, I still need to try the frostbolt from KT.
You can't reflect AoE's in pvp really.. plus the knockback reflect makes it hilarious

If you use it on the spell reflecting mobs in VH it will reflect too. It just does.
Panda Panda Panda
Although funny, I think that is intended >>
Also noticed with Spell reflect, that some spells do not take the effect of it off of you, but do still refelt
Will take more notice and get back to you all with what spells causes this
