GM Island Is Still Around!

Alright, Freakyea and I decided to try this lvl 1 priest idea. We swam to (0,0) and swam straight down healing all the way. You run out of breath and die before you fall through anything. Here are the pics:



That picture is us dead and looking up towards the surface



And this picture is looking down. I don't know what that brown surface is down there. It may just be the bottom of the sea, or it could be this place we're supposd to fall through to.

Since breath kills you though, there's no way to get any deeper as I don't think any breath potions work on a lvl 1 character. I could try this again as an Undead because they have a passive skill of 300% breath, but I don't know if this (0,0) thing is true.

ok, i have a major feeling that video was on a private server, reason being that the spirit healer was visible when he was alive. nuff said.

i am happy to officialy confirm... that video is... a FAKE! congratulatons to the guy who post it.

I tried it 2 times. both times i end up stuck in invisible wall. There is no need to try UD because poster was a gnome. Another fact that confirms that its a fake is because he was playing a lvl 1 gnome. You know... why would someone make a gnome and run whole way to darnassus. and one more thing... every time you fall under terrain you die. and that guy was simply walking on something. And we see that fall part video and part when he lands somthing between those is cut. that means he could just do that thing on emulator server. And run there and rez is impossible since u need healing. So thank you very much for wasting 2 hours of my life and few other people, mr. fake video poster. GG

p.s. and that gnome was a warlock if u noticed.
anyway... (next goes in reply to first post) whoever were those n00bs u seen at GM island we're either blizzard, testing out something, or GMs having fun or something. Even if they found way to GM island its fixed for sure. Face it. There is NO way we can get there at this time. So lets leave this topic for some next time, when things will go better.

I did a small research on the Golanu name.. didn't check others.. but it's a famous name in polish/skandinavian i think... do a quick google search on it and you'll find tons of people using that name..

Also tried a polish to english translation webpage but didn't get anything out of it..

But imagine people with... for axample the name: God

There's 10.000 of those... what if Golanu means God in polish or whatever... that whould end up with allot of people using that name..

MAYBE you can swim down fast with speedhack?
Someone should make a lvl 1 undead priest, get here and try this with speedhack.. what if it would work? it would be so cool to bring GM island back alive

Has any one tried getting there from under the ocean where there is no breath problems but there are some fatigue?

i bet that would answer a few problems.

I would have tried it but i cant find any warlock that has noggen fogger have a go at it =(

any one who does have enough people to try this that would be awesome.

P.S. i suggest using the under darnassus method before patch goes live cause it is fixed on test server for all the 50+ times i tried it(they removed the invisible wall). or you can use the caverns of time and swim all the way around the world to reach teldrassil for the test server.(the only 2 ways ive found the way under the world on Kalimdor)

guess youve never see GM island before? there is a real spirit healer thats perfectly visable when alive, like at that place in the barrens im about like 98% positve

But ithnk this was on an emu server anyway...but htat doesnt mean anything, this could really be true, he just did it a live server for the sake of breath on fatqe most likely

Alos got another idea. gonna try the eagle eye exploit :P gotta love that thing..

This is from Test Server, there was a raid grp there summoning ppl to GM island. But no aswer how to get there. =(

and this golanu dude, ive talked to him lol he resolved my warlock quest....and any1 notice how theres usualy a high lvl (ex 60) and a low lvl (ex 1) gm on but none of them do anythign unless you nag them for liek 3 hours strait? lol

I will put the clue, and then my "answer" or Though to the clue
Lets assemble our clues, shall we?

WHAT IS GM ISLAND?
Clue 1) The name is GM island
Clue 1 A) .. Well, its and ISLAND for GameMasters

WHAT IS GM ISLAND USED FOR?
Clue 1) From what we know, GM Island EXISTS. It DOES
Clue 1 A) .. ye, it really does :P
Clue 2) From the story at the link, GM island is a place, where the gamemasters "check in", at theyre job, and from 3-4 videos, recorded on personal servers, gm island has a quest, called "check in", and a boat arriving to the GM island every so often.
Clue 2 A) Ok, This boat arriving has to be the only way to get on GM island, and instead of making some "fancy online checkin" system, blizzard has made the Check In (to job) procedure INSIDE the game. This must be to prevent hackers from checking into the GM thingie. Ok, GM's are actual people WORKING, from 8am-4pm for example, so when they log in to theyre account, the must be shipped to the island, with the ship, who leaves every .. 8 hours maybe?.

Ok, Answer to the maintopic of this section, GM island is basically the place, where GM's, when going to work, log in, and is. From there, they have theyre "ingame" form, and are able to check in to their <-(i spelled it right now :P) job, and speak with other GM's - Basically do all the ingame work it requires to be a GM

WHY CANT WE GO TO GM ISLAND?
Clue 1) Every single person who tryed to go there, and got there, got moved into this weird jail thing. Also, so many things are in the way of getting there, for example, fatique, fall, "bottom of world death trigger", and alot of other obstacles are in the way of actually getting there
Clue 1 A) Gamemasters obviously want to have this place for themseirlves, allthough it is very interresting, and would be funny to go there, we must remember, that it is not a part of the game itself, (wich is the World of Warcraft), this is the ingame headquarter for the actual people controlling, helping out people and answering GM petitions. This is NOT meant to be for the rest of us.
Clue 2) People have been summoned to GM island, by other people reaching it. It suddently STOPPED occurring, after release of patch 1.9... Coincidence? I think not
Clue 2 A) This may mean, that they have instanced the GM island. (As you all know, you cannot be summoned into an instance from the outside) And in some way, the GM island has dissapeared from the world itself, so it is now only reachable through instancing. We also know, that even if we find the instance, we might not be able to go into it. The reason why im saying this, is because we have seen instance-limits before: For example, lvl-limit on dungeons, and honor-limit on knights-hall in SW and Org

And we draw a conclusion. The reason why we canNOT go into the GM island, is because it is
1) The HQ of theyr work, and they dont want us here -
2) Locked away into some instance of some sort -
and 3) Obviously not a part of the "game" (im thinking of Warcraft, and the lore, and all the game'ish rpg stuff)

ARE THE GMs ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT IT?
Clue 1) As we know from the GM chat, posted previously on this forumthread, the gm was talking kinda secret-spooky-matrix about it
Clue 1 A) Ok, the GameMaster here obviously wanted to "tell us", that a GM Island exists.. Allthough, for some weird reason he coulndt? But if he would not tell us it existed, he would just have said "i cant tell you"
Clue 2) Gamemasters are not allowed to give ingame hints, for example "Where is ", or "How do i defeat Ragnaros with a fishing pole", or "Does 'Mighty Scepter of Eternal Death' exist?".
Clue 2 A) Ok, taking this in consideration, saying whether GM island exists or not, is a gamehint. And they are not allowed to give hints
Clue 3) Blizz talks about the GM Island on theyre page with great mysticism, whatsoever
Clue 3 A) Maybe, the reason why they "talk so little about it", is because it is out-game info, and also, we are not supposed to know anymore of it. After all, it IS a GM job, and a official IRL moneymaking career (like being computertechnician, cardealer, whatsoever).
From this, they might have given the GMs strict instructions NOT to tell any more about it, not to spoil or give away any private company informations

Conclusion - Yes, they are allowed to TALK about it, but NO, they are NOT allowed to REVEAL or TELL anything about it.

GM island is an instanced in-game place, that only GAMEMASTERS can access (atleast now, only GMS can). It is the headquarter of "ingame operations", and the place where they check in to their job. Therefore, other people can NOT access it, (this COULD be fatal for blizzard, and their employees, since its kinda like an online work-form). Gamemasters cant tell you anything more about it, since they are not allowed to.
