Easy weapon skill leveling

Alright, so I've found these mobs in northrend that are immune to all damage. You can level your weapon skills off of them, not get hurt at all, and never have to switch mobs (Due to the fact they can never die). On to the location of these mobs.

I'm going to steal the screenshot from kebbsta (Thanks!) as I can't seem to edit my own, paint uninstalled itself from my computer for some reason.



The mobs are just on the ledges above this area. They're named Iceskin Sentry, they have a buff which "freezes" them in stone. Enjoy getting your free achievement and weapon skills :P. I've searched and couldn't find anything, if anyone does find anything, I will delete this thread. Happy Skill Leveling!

Quick edit: I just realized this is more of a tip then an exploit, although I'm sure blizzard didn't intend you to be able to weapon skills on a mob. If a mod could move this over to guides, I'd appreciate it. (If it does need to be moved, anyways.)

Last point is -ALWAYS- the worst. I suggest equipping everything you have that has haste on it while you do this, along with the nifty haste trinkets from Icecrown / Dragonblight quests :P. Seems to help make it go by faster. Glad so many people like this spot.

And a tip for all you DK's out there, if you want to skill easy mode, go to these mobs and use autolicker on any of you instant abilitys, like obliterate, you will not lose a rune since the mob is immune and therfor you can spam these abilitys to gain skill even faster. Autoclicker is godsent for this purpose.

Last I knew you could NOT get skill ups from immune mobs.... unless these are different somehow.

There are some NPCs named Lithe Stalkers running around and jumping ldge to ledge killing these off. Anyone know their source?

ops and a edit also, to answear your question these mobs are used in a few phase quests, the newly intergrated quest system in wrath i think
that is the reason blizz forgott or just didnt care to change those mobs to not give skill as normal immune mobs.
